The annual summer festival gets even bigger, with every participant a star! This was the third Western Japan Drift Summer Camp at Bihoku Circuit, now well known among Chugoku-region drifters. Last year included physically demanding events such as transporter tug-of-war and a marathon.

This year's theme was playing with cars, with racing, 0–100 m sprints and a straight-drift contest. Last year's games were fun, but the car events may have been even better: spectators as well as participants got excited. The camp's basic aim is to deepen friendships among the region's drifters.

Summer festival

Summer means festivals! So…

…this is the season for a rush of events! Held at Ebisu every year…

If the summer drift festival is all about nonstop sliding…

A parade!

…then this event is about everyone having fun together at a circuit. As usual, it ran for two days. Day one offered racing, 0–100 m sprints, a straight-drift contest and a parade of friendly competitions using cars. It truly lived up to its name as a camp for strengthening friendships…
