From an AE86 to a Silvia—watch my full-throttle jump! To my friends and everyone I meet in the mountains: I switched from my AE86 to an S13 Silvia! There are fewer AE86 drivers now; keep going, everyone still driving one!
Don't worry, though: mine is safely stored away. Heh! My impression of the Silvia is that what you do is basically the same as in an AE86.
My goal is ‘AE86-style driving in a Silvia’—quite a tall order! And to make the white S14 jump . Watch me go!
Don't underestimate a rally driver! Everyone, drive carefully and avoid accidents. — Isawa district, Iwate; [pen name in separate box]. Editors: speaking of AE86s, about two editorial staff members want to switch to one…
The other day, I decided to make a summer version of our staff T-shirt, so I created a special logo that still identifies it as Drift Tengoku. The idea was a shirt that wouldn't look out of place on a surfer—drifting is a sideways sport too! It turned out really cute, so we'll show it off soon. It reminded me how much fun making team merchandise can be!
…you often hear that the AE86 is the starting point, or a car that develops a driver. While reporting, we hear comments such as, ‘AE86s are great! Keeping the throttle down feels good, and it's such a full-body workout that it's really satisfying.’ That makes us want to drift an AE86 someday.
Yaya, with the skills you developed in the AE86, drifting a Silvia should be straightforward. But the AE86 must have a style of driving only it can offer. Knowing that, you're trying it in a Silvia, right?
That's a wonderful goal. We'd like to see you making a spectacular jump at full countersteer, preferably up close! [Historical editorial response; stunt language as published.]
