Experiences, prevention and recommended security: SECOM sounds good! A device about the size of a mobile phone, frequently mentioned in recent news, seems to be attracting attention. Hide it inside the car; if the car is stolen, SECOM staff can locate it and rush to the scene.

A television report said a major theft ring had been arrested using it. The fixed price seemed affordable, and installation simply means hiding it, so I recommend it. Another option is the best-selling Hornet, which has plenty of models to choose from…

Hello, I drive a very low S14. Something has been bothering me lately, so I wrote in: I think I have a phobia of gas stations! My car has a full body kit bought by mail order as a factory second, 18-inch wheels front and rear, and recently added vinyl graphics. I say so myself, but it looks pretty good. At gas stations people often say, “Cool car! Do you drift?” Now that is the problem. To that question…

…think it is good; theft insurance for in-car parts is available too. I have said a lot, but stolen cars apparently rarely come back, so take some precautions early. E-FD, Kurume, Fukuoka. Editor: You mean Coco-SECOM, right? SECOM's service starts at ¥900 a month, with ¥5,000 at signup and ¥100 each time you check location. Details: http://www.855756.com, freephone 0120-855-756. We'd like reports from users!

I would love to say “Yes!”, but I cannot say it confidently. Frankly, I am not confident in my drifting skills. I have only attended one gymkhana practice / lesson event. I can manage steady circles comfortably, but a single corner at the docks scares me too much to try. I watch at the dock drift spot almost every week, yet have never joined the course.

…was found. I was so upset that I installed security. Two months later, at 3:30 a.m., the alarm sounded.

I rushed outside, only to see my own 90 coming out and nearly running me over. A week later, it was found burned, reduced to scrap. Thinking about it still makes me cry.

Next time I will move and return with a Skyline or Laurel, so please support me then. Sorry for the gloomy story, but everyone, watch out for theft! Former 90 owner, Nagoya, Aichi.

Editor: It must have hurt; thank you for recalling it for our readers. This is more like robbery than theft. Unforgivable!

Perhaps the only answer is combining an alarm with something like a steering lock…

Gas-station phobia [heading inferred from context]

But I love drifting too. I buy Drift Tengoku every month and think I know as much as anyone. So when the gas-station guy asks, I say “Yeah, well…” evasively. That only makes it worse. Most of them ask with great interest, “Wow! Where do you drive?” By then I just want to run away.

I nearly got run over by my own stolen car! Hello. My car was stolen twice within nine months of buying it. The first time, the navigation system, air conditioning and body kit were taken, but the car was found…

I have never driven at any well-known circuit, either…
