Don't hold boost down hoping for durability and modest power: use around 1.5 kg/cm² to experience the high rpm punch this setup offers. Either build an efficient, responsive setup below 400 PS...

The RB25's greatest appeal is its surging torque! Enjoy strong bottom end and moderate top end!

Your taste and budget decide, but these apparently extreme approaches are how to make the best of the RB25.

RX-6B. A'PEXi's largest turbo emphasizes high rpm performance, sound and durability. Its ball bearing core provides unusually good response for this size. The complete kit includes a manifold and wastegate. Installing the kit can exceed 500 PS; adding cams enables 550–600 PS.

...improving boost response. It can produce around 400 PS, but keeping output near 380 PS is sensible when considering fuel system costs and overall value.

APEXI

A factory ECU remap can handle up to about 500 PS, with little difference in feel compared with F-CON control. Unless major specification changes are planned, a remap should suffice. Those with the budget or plans for further upgrades can choose F-CON V Pro.

The stock head gasket's strength is sufficient at 400 PS, but RB head gaskets are known to deteriorate with age. On a high mileage car, or when fitting cams, replace it at the same time. Symex uses an HKS 1.2 mm metal gasket.
