...as it compresses, camber becomes more negative and toe moves inward. For example, 20 minutes of toe in may become around 40. Toe in tends to improve straight line stability.
Many cars are designed so rear compression under acceleration adds toe in, helping stability as speed builds. This is called bump in. People say toe in creates traction, but more precisely it improves stability and confidence in applying throttle, allowing you to generate more traction.
What happens if you increase power on a properly aligned car? With the same spring rates and damping, more power loads the rear harder and makes it squat farther. Bump in therefore increases.
Excess toe in reduces stability, and added negative camber can also make the car feel unsettled. What feels like difficulty caused by power may actually be excessive alignment change under load. Reduce rear compression after a power upgrade.
There are several methods, but increasing rear spring rate or damping is the quickest basic approach.

Throttle
Bump in: suspension movement changes alignment, particularly toward toe in and negative camber. The toe change during compression is called bump in. A suitable amount of toe in adds stability, but too much can have the opposite effect.
With more power, the force pushing the tires increases and the rear suspension moves farther into compression.
