Tow ropes are essential emergency equipment, but a two page feature is unusual in a tuning magazine. Drifters need them surprisingly often after leaving the track, so let's give them some attention and consider the choices.
Featured item
The patented G hook attaches and releases in one action. To reduce accidents caused by hook failure, it uses SCM435 chromium molybdenum steel, described as a first for tow rope hooks.

Total length: 4.5 m
Amon's 4.5 m wire rope helps in recovery situations where access is difficult. Compared with extensible ropes, wire resists abrasion and cutting better.
The D shackle and U shaped hook are secured by a threaded pin to prevent detachment. Depending on the vehicle's towing attachment, the shackle can be removed to suit different shapes.
Example: being particular about a beer brand. Sanseido Daijirin, second edition.
Like the extensible version, it uses D shackle hooks. Rated for vehicles in the three tonne class, the JIS standard wire is said to have strength above that figure.
